I’m Jolanta Misiuk, founder of Olive Cape of Hope. For more than ten years, I have supported children and families on their journey toward growth, confidence and emotional wellbeing. My work is shaped by experience in UK special needs schools, underpinned by academic studies in Special Educational Needs Pedagogy and Psychology, specialist training, and a deep belief that every child deserves to feel capable, understood and connected.
Rather than looking only at difficulties, I help families see the whole child – their strengths, needs, emotions, communication style and learning profile. My role is to build bridges between home and school, offer practical strategies and guide parents with clarity, calm and compassion.
My mission & core values
Understanding First
Every child’s behaviour tells a story. I begin with listening, observing and understanding what may be happening beneath the surface, so support is based on real needs rather than quick assumptions.
Connection and communication
Strong relationships are the foundation of progress. I help families build calmer communication, stronger trust and more connected routines between children, parents and schools.
Practical guidance
Families need strategies that work in real life, not just in theory. I offer clear, realistic tools that can be used at home, in school and during everyday moments that often feel the most difficult.
Confidence for parents
Parents should not feel alone or lost in the process. I guide families with empathy, structure and reassurance, helping them feel more prepared to support their child and communicate with professionals.
Child-centred support
No two children learn, communicate or regulate emotions in the same way. I tailor support to each child’s strengths, challenges, pace and individual profile.
